However, The Mentalist episode 2×17 offers the good series to reveal the murderer.

the investigation shortly becomes into a search for a priceless ring stolen from the British museum. Meanwhile, Lisbon is upset once Madeleine Hightower takes control of the CBI. Patrick Jane, Lisbon and the CBI squad brace themselves to at last meet their new boss, Special federal agent Madeleine Hightower. Alright, is not clear enough the synopsis and spoilers of The Mentalist season 2 episode 17 (The Red Box)? For now, I also do not know what the ending of this episode because I have not seen it.
